About The Role:

We’re searching for an Executive Assistant to be the “right-hand” to our Founder & CEO. Someone who is a great multitasker with amazing organizational and communication skills.

This role will have a the following main components: social media marketing, content creation organizational admin and research.

Must be adept at self-learning, extremely organized and must have a go-with-the-flow attitude that matches the sometimes chaotic start-up pace. We are also looking for someone who has a great eye for design and aesthetics, a passion for the environment and you must enjoy working in a small and scrappy startup environment. This position does require someone who can be confident in representing the company on camera and in person.

What You’ll Do:

  • Marketing: This role will have a heavy dose of marketing. You’ll be managing our social media channels like TikTok, Instagram and Youtube. Engaging on all three platforms with our audience; preparing content calendars and creating reels. Will require your own comfortability on camera and a great eye for design and aesthetics.

  • Sales support: Visiting local shop retailers, making sure they have all the materials they need and helping to represent the company to our current stockists. Also, warming up leads for the founder, sending out samples, merchandising and nurturing our B2B relationships as a brand representative.

  • Research: Thoroughly researching the available landscape for potential partnerships and company developments. Research will often involve product development, supply chain, manufacturing and shipping. Will need to keep tidy, accurate notes and engage in initial conversations while acting as the first touchpoint into the company, using your trusted discernment to decide what may or may not be a fit. *Crucial that your judgement can be trusted and that you speak up when you feel uncertain. There will never be any penalty for questions!

  • Customer Service: Regularly overseeing all our website inquiries and crafting sustainable systems for customer service: including building scripts and templates for FAQ’s and uploading them to our website.

  • Writing: Grant writing, accelerator applications and sometimes writing important and confidential draft correspondences. Will also be doing PR requests and outreach, including writing blogs and occasionally, co-authoring articles together with the CEO.

  • Trusted Advisor: Advise and assist the CEO on top priorities. With the appropriate combination of information and good judgment you can help guide carefully considered decisions with the CEO. You will be an integral touchpoint in the strategic roadmap of the company. You will also be the first touch point for new services and hires: acting as the first filter into the company. Your discernment must be trustworthy. Constantly be on the lookout for organizational inefficiencies. You will help build lasting SOP’s and systems out of tasks that you see reoccurring and you must be unafraid to speak up about your opinion, it will always be valued here.

  • Brand and Culture Alignment: Regularly scanning for on-brand partnerships that align with our company ethos and mission. Initial outreach to secure those partnerships. Take pride in being active in the intersecting culture, of outdoor ocean adventure sports and sustainability.

  • Miscellaneous Tasks: Start-up life! There is plenty unforeseen on this road. Be down for the adventure. Sometimes we are all both executives and janitors. Must have a positive attitude, where no task is too big or small.

     

Required Experience:

Self-taught learning.

Preferred Experience:

*Prior Experience as an Executive Assistant in a fast-paced start-up setting is preferred but not required.

Programs used include but not limited to: Trello, Notion, Airtable, Excel, Klaviyo, TikTok, Youtube, Instagram, Facebook Marketplace and Shopify.
